New Mexico requires that concealed carry applicants complete a handgun training course that is no less than 15 hours long. 15 hours. That is a long time. The majority of this time will be spent in the classroom. At Practical Defense we break the classroom lectures up with student discussions, student led scenarios, handgun fundamental skill building (with unloaded firearms, of course), as well as a good amount of time (right around an hour or so) training and practicing the critical skill of presenting the handgun from concealment.
